Not really sure there's anything left to discuss in this thread.

OP showed damage.

Replies pointed out damage.

OP denies damage, continues to claim it's all defective paint.

OP knows about the warranty and is able to let a dealer make the determination.

So, suppose we'll wait to hear back how your warranty claim goes. Until then...
We wont hear back for five years when Ford finally gives Mike a new paint job. I'm still trying to figure that part of his story out. LOL.

That's okay, there are plenty of other threads on here to keep us busy for the next half decade. ;)

Yes. It’s going to be a problem for Ford especially on something they’re calling a truck.

I have a high degree of certainty this is how it will play out 5 years from now:

OP to Ford, “I ran my truck into a brick wall 5 years ago, damaged body panels, and scrapped your thin paint off my truck”

Ford, “sorry our paint quality caused you to lose control of your vehicle and strike that wall, sure, we’ll be more than happy to paint your truck”. “ it might take a month, here’s a new Ford GT to use as a loaner”

.

No doubt. Detailing is a good biz to be in owning this truck.

Oh, and now it’s a POS truck?

Stop hitting stuff and you’ll be ok..

Huh. It’s a great truck except for the thin paint that flakes and scratches easily.

Actually on second thought, your fender is bent in the first photo which would explain why the paint is lifted. Looks to be like some kind of collision happened.............

That crease could also cause the bad fit where the door hits the fender when opening or closing it

Can we see the truck in a wider settings. My concerns is you may not be aware of night time critters activity. The nearby tree and some shading makes me think you could be in older semi rural area and not strongly influenced by setbacks rules, insurance issues on where plants and trees can effect policy, generally uncontrolled pets and small livestock and a few bored free range humans.

Not in the loop with what’s happening here but are there others with flaking paint ?

I’ve been real happy with overall build quality of my truck except for the paint

just in case anyone read my leaf stain thread. No this isn’t where I had those stains.

A ding, paint swirls, and a massive panel gap. Blame Ford! I'm here for the 🍿 🤣
