when I was in for service the other day, the guy told me it is a parts issue....so if he's right, it's not just a simple software upgrade.

I'm wondering if the new administration may ease some of the restrictions and let these trucks be sold, even if we have to sign waivers. I know how to use mirrors.

Smart money says NOPE.
No backup cam NO SALE.
You can use hand signals too. A new car is not going to be sold without operating turn signals.

Too late it's already a NHTSA mandate. By the time a repeal would be started for the mandate the 2030 models will be coming out.

That's what the executive orderer wants you to think. They're mostly for show.

I saw that. It's depressing. If the hold lasts much past March I'm out. I just don't like the 25s, and we aren't considering used because we wanted something new and reliable since our teenager will also be driving it. With Ford's current problems we'll probably be looking at other brands.

Understandable, but as you look deeper into other brands you'll likely find similar problems.
