Recall - Backup camera

Does anyone know how long the recall on Maverick trucks is going to be in affect or better, when is Ford going to correct the issue with the back up camera ??
Is Ford going to compensate Maverick owners?

Yes, multiple times over the last 2 1/2 years. One time it was frozen on even after turning the truck off. The only fix was to do a hard reset of the head unit.

Mine has stopped working for the last few months. Dealership and Ford are at a loss. They have replaced everything at least once and even have a custom flash on it and it still faults out.

No word on a fix.

So they even replaced the wire harness? I remember once the first year I had my truck I got an error like that for the parking brake, it never appeared again.

The harness for the camera and the OBD11 port have both been replaced. The camera has been replaced. The brain for the camera has been replaced. I guess the whole harness could be replaced.

I suppose it could be the link to the main computer network from the camera system that is the issue, got to love these little electronic gremlins.
