Thanks for your responses. Those professionals didn't take a look in person only pictures since am out in rural. Yes there was a damage to the rear bumper and hitch reinforcement. No Airbags deployed. I have been reading and looking online on Ford maverick diagram, and it appears it may only be the flanges or so-called Rail end‑face where the hitch connects but may be not the entire rail frame. because it its only minor rear end, if the boron steel is this hard. It shouldn't bend, if it did, then airbags should deploy but they didnt. I am having hard time determine that, I don't want it totaled i just need to fix this and get it inspected and registered. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Air bags deploy on how fast a vehicle stops, rear end damage like that likely pushed the vehicle in forward motion, if you were parked against a brick wall or a tree or had another vehicle in front of you and your vehicle couldn't move forward when hit depending on the speed of the vehicle that hit you the bags could deploy. Many times the cost of air bags,
sensors and control unit total a vehicle alone of course including the damaged areas.
Yes that is frame damage, there are many repair shops that don't care about insurance regulations and would repair that damage. I believe there is a rail section for that right rail but the cost of replacement would total the vehicle. The Maverick holds its value well BUT its not a expensive vehicle and salvage value would be high.

🤔 Your Maverick Is TOTALED.
The areas that you circled are part of the boron frame.
There is no heating unbending or repairing of boron steel.
It has to be replaced.
This is part of what needs to be replaced.

Actually the Maverick can sustain quite a crush. It's sacrifices itself instead of passing on the forces to the occupants on the inside.
Bent rails under the bed, will do it.

If you take a look at the below threads you'll see it how little damage total a Maverick by bending the boron steel.
On September 30th 2024 I started keeping an informal tally about Mavericks being a cracked windshield and rear end accident magnet.

Most of the above have been totaled.

You might be able to do that in Ohio, but in the OP's state, North Dakota, salvage titled vehicles (what the OP has) MUST be repaired at a licensed repair business, rather than his backyard, and must be certified by another, different licensed repair business, not his neighbor for a 6 pack of beer.
In entirely different circumstances, your idea might work, but in the OP's it won't.
He can't do the work himself and get it back on the road legally in his state.
Good education is expensive, and this is not going to be a cheap lesson. Lick your wounds and resell ASAP.

I am a bit confused. I spent 10 years at a shop that rebuilt salvage vehicles and bought from COPART but the shop in Calif received a Salvage Certificate, not a Salvage Title. After repairs and inspections a PRIOR Salvage Title was issued in Calif. Or am I behind times? Get it titled in AZ. You only need the get the inspection certificates, not repair certificates.

According to the robot continuum:
"When you purchase a wrecked vehicle from Copart, it typically comes with a salvage title, indicating that the vehicle has been deemed a total loss by an insurance company. This title informs future buyers about the vehicle's damaged status."

I think the difference is that when the vehicle is sold to a new owner, that has to be done via a title transfer, and the only way to do that is with a salvage title.

A business may just be using the vehicle as a parts source, and may not ever be put on the road.
Since the business is a licensed facility, if they end up getting the vehicle operational, they will need to go through the process of getting the vehicle titled, and that will end up being a salvage title.

Different states have different laws, and private party and business rules can also be different.
It would be nice for the OP to be able to find a way around his state laws, but a salvage title from a different state, assuming he could actually get one, doesn't seem to be a likely way to do it, as the OP already has title to the vehicle.

But it only has to be repaired to road worthy, not showroom condition.
True, but the repairs required affect the ability of the vehicle to withstand another collision.
The authorities also have an interest in ensuring that a salvage vehicle is able to drive in a straight line.

It can have lots of cosmetic dents and doesn't need to be painted, but a vehicle with frame damage can be deemed unsafe, and since it is required by state law to be professionally repaired and then certified by a different shop, how willing would a business be to go on record certifying a repair as safe when corners are cut ?

I'm thinking that limb is very short, because if a defect was found that contributed to an accident or injuries, who would get sued? From a legal liability perspective, anything short of return to original specs would seem to be high risk.

Unfortunately for the OP, that means a very expensive repair, which is why the vehicle was totaled in the first place. With the repair cost and the acquisition cost, it would likely be less expensive to buy a good condition, low mileage used Maverick that isn't saddled with a salvage title.

Sometimes something seems like a good deal when it isn't.
I'm thinking in this case it's the latter rather than the former, but I'd be glad to be wrong.

If nothing else good comes from this, Vik's story might serve as a cautionary tale.

OTOH, everything forward of the truck bed is in good shape.
It's got a virtually new powerplant, transmission and HVB, all of which are high dollar components. If Vik can find someone with a high mileage late model vehicle, a powerplant transplant might take a lot of the sting out of the transaction without having to go through the pain of a complete part out exercise, and he could sell the rest to a junkyard....

Rear tow‑beam on my 2025 Maverick Hybrid got pushed downward. Two shops say the rear rails (boron steel) must be replaced. My photos look like the integrated hitch/impact bar is bent and some thin white sheet‑metal lips got wrinkled. I need the community’s eyes: is this truly rail damage, or just the beam + thin flanges + brackets? What should I measure/check before authorizing a rail job? Is there a diagram that i can look into?

That photo gave me flashbacks instantly lol. My rear frame area got hit almost the same way after somebody rear ended me in stop and go traffic on the interstate. Then the idiot tried saying I “stopped too fast” even though traffic was already backed up for miles.

Insurance became a nightmare because the hidden damage around the frame and tow hitch kept increasing once teardown started. Eventually I went through SAM LAW OFFICE for it and thank god because after months of arguing I finally got the damage covered and repaired properly.
