I am having a bit of trouble re-installing my driver's side door card after upgrading the door speaker. The cable lock assembly keeps popping out of it plastic holder. Also upper rear corner of the card won't snap in all the way. All the pegs and pieces are intact and not damaged but they won't hold their "set." Has anybody doing a speaker upgrade run into this dilemma? Anybody have any ideas?

As long as nothing is in your way…It’s probably popping out because the locking cable mechanism is not seated properly it’s all plastic so be careful… once it’s seated it should click into place you’ll know…also you have to kind of get the top lip onto the door I swear I fought with one of my doors for like 1.5hr to get it on between the lock and the panel being on properly when I changed my speakers!

I replaced my door speakers also and had it all put back together and thought all was good. The next day my wife went to get in the passenger door and it wouldn't open from the outside. The card wasn't seated completely & so I had to take that one apart again and re-seat it. Worked good from that perspective now but I did have a problem with some of the clips that were damaged/broken at the top of the door panel (especially on the drivers side). I ordered some new clips and attempted to repair it myself but wasn't completely successful. Decided to just use my Ford pass points and take it to the dealer to have them sort it out. Panels now fit like they did originally.
