Purchased a 2025 Ford Maverick AWD Hybrid Lariat on November 5, 2025 and only has about 500 miles on it. The truck has the B&O sound system. I’ve noticed a rattle isolated to the driver’s door when playing songs that have a deep base track (coming from the door and not the speaker). No rattle noticed during normal driving on bumpy roads so isolated to only when music is playing.

Took to the dealership on November 26, 2025 and they were able to replicate the issue but then proceeded to test other similar models they had on their lot and reported the following:

“verified customer concern and found that it is a normal vehicle characteristic. Compared to alike vehicles on the lot and all of them sound the same and do the same thing.”

Dealer sent me home with no fix. Anyone else have the same experience and/or suggestions on a fix? I have not contacted the dealer again, yet but considering calling Ford corporate customer service.

Its probably all that "deep base" vibrating all that plastic door panel and components. May want to take the door panels off and apply some of that sound deading material we see the audiophile folks on this forum using (bes guess/thought i can offer)

"We've confirmed that this trash build quality from Ford is normal for this vehicle in its fourth model year. Have a good day." Wow...incredible.

I'd personally take the door card off myself and insulate it against the internal plastic.

Foam tape can fix many rattles.

Follow up (12/9/25):

I took the truck to a different Ford service department and the service tech applied foam tape inside both driver and passenger doors. The rattle is still there with very low frequency punchy bass. Called Ford customer service back with the case number from my initial inquiry and was advised if I am still not satisfied, a buy back would be the next step. Really like the truck other than the annoying rattle…

If this is “normal” or “common” and isn’t fixed with foam tape, seems like others would have noted and posted here. Any others out there with the factory B&O sound system experiencing the same issue? Thanks!

I have the same issue / thought about different speakers and an amp. It does make it worse whenever I have anything in those door areas.
