Railroad Tracking

So ive been trying to keep track of my truck while its being delivered. The vin sticker indicates it has a ramp code for New Orleans. Its being delivered by Norfolk Southern.

-So like 2 days ago. It had arrived in new orleans.
-It was marked AVPL (available for placement) in new orleans.
-then notification ground only for new orleans.
-then the next day intermediate arrival for mccalla Alabama
-then today departed on flat rail car at Forest Park Georgia.

Any ideas of why it was never unloaded and now seemingly traveling the US now? I could have understood it going to mccalla as it looks like a large holding yard for vehicles and the railcars they use to transport them.

I thought that might have been the case but looking at the other ford related forums, it should likely say UNLD if they did unload it.

Well, Contacting ford chat again says it still only has tracking for the railcar. Is there any tracking statuses between the railcar and the dealership that the ford shows? Just curious if im going to be left in the dark until it shows up at the dealer randomly. Otherwise my truck is probably going to travel more miles by train than I might likely drive it this year at the rate its going.

just an update to my own post, talking with a dealer, they were able to confirm what happened with the truck. The tracking I have did only track the car. If at any point, at least for norfolk southern, you get codes AVPL, PCON, Notification Ground Only, or UNLD, the vehicle will have been unloaded at the location. After it passes that phase, it will continue being tracked on the future travels. If you miss these, all you can really do is assume it was unloaded.
