Radio won't shut off, screen controls do nothing.

I took my XLT hybrid in for my first service and there was a recall that needed some reprogramming. I left after the service, drove 45 minutes home and now the radio will not turn off and none of the screen controls work. I'm now back at the dealership and they've had the truck for an hour. I'm not feeling good about this.

I had the same problem , at my second oil change at around 8k they did a reprogram with the latest software the problem went away. now I have another problem that's intermit where my doors lock with engine running and am out of the vehicle, jumped out at a hotdog stand left engine running for ac my dog in truck and doors locked my phone was in the truck and forgot code on key pad haven't used it in a year, luckily I leave the rear window open slightly for the dog and one of my skinny friend stopped for a dog too and was able to get in. doors should only lock when you put in drive not just idling. So keep your phone on you and don't forget your keypad code.

There are multiple threads on this issue, including one I started when I had this same problem back in April 2022 with my first Mav.

The SNYC 3 platform on the Maverick is glitchy, and frankly is the one thing I don’t like about my truck. I’ll call myself out for not being tech savvy but the Ford is so clunky in picking up my iPhone to play podcasts or music from YouTube, etc.

Wow - Yeah I really need to set up the door pin keypad for these weird situations.

Soft Reset should fix it if it happens again.

When the vehicle ignition is on Press and Hold the Radio Power Button/Volume Dial and the Seek button (>>) at the same time for about 5-10 seconds until the Ford symbol flashes on the screen and it resets.

How?

They removed the programming they originally did as part of a recall and reinstalled it. I can't give you more detail than that as it is all beyond me.
