Radio/Sync 3 settings not saving

I received my 24 Lariat in November and know it pretty well by now. A few weeks ago, I started receiving a new message on the screen about location tracking when I start the vehicle and then a message about Ford wanting permission to track what I listen to on the audio portion of the sync 3, which I always say no to and for some reason it keeps asking in case I change my mind! Very Frustrating. About that same time, I noticed that my six pages of radio presets and extended back up camera timing went away every time I started the car. I have reset the audio system a few times and that does not resolve anything. I believe Ford pushed out some updates that made all these changes in the last few weeks (maybe a month). So I am wondering if anyone else has noticed these changes and if so, been able to resolve them?

Today, after being fed up with these changes, I went to my local dealer to have the most recent recall completed and this other issue resolved. I also wanted him to fix the squeak in windshield I have had since the day I got it and am a bit sorry to say I may have gotten used to it and ignore it or turn the radio up to resolve. The recall he said he could do by the end of the day, the other items he said would probably take 4-5 business days to resolve and I would have to leave it there and they don't have any loaners. He also said I need an appointment as there are 400 cars in front of me needing service.

I would hope by now all the problems with the squeak in the windshield resolution would be well documented as I have seen it posted on here a number of times and therefore easy to resolve, does anyone have any recent info about that?

My 2022 Lariax Lux will reset settings like ambient lighting and bluetooth seemingly at random since I bought it. No change in quirks with software updates. I've never had radio presets reset or questions about tracking my listening habits. Weird.

I get that same message regarding location and listening preferences... It's annoying... just 1 more thing you have to push okay for (though from the infotainment, not the steering wheel) when you start the Maverick.

I do not however loose the presets...

Anything related to the Sync 3 infotainment not saving presets or settings is due to a software issue. Check the Ford site here and compare that version against what you have in your truck. Then, either pray to the gods that the truck can find the update via wifi or do yourself a favor and follow the USB method for the update.
