Wouldn't at this point bother with yet another generic walkaround video review (and the guy is less than certain about some of the features on the XL Ecoboost he's filming), except this one includes a good look at the optional bed mat.

In the early 70's I worked at a rock crushing plant, bed mats were unheard of, out in the scrap yard I found a 4' wide conveyor belt that was perfect width for my Isuzu compact truck.

I ordered a bed mat with my hybrid as well. When I went in to the dealer to finalize my order, for some reason the bed mat was listed at $0 in their system, although it was $210 (CDN) on the website. I'll take a free bed mat!

Mine came with the bed mat from the dealer. It's nice and thick and fits really well. If anyone would like any pictures I can post some if you let me know what you're looking for.

Nice! I actually prefer this over the spray in (don’t have a real reason) so if/when I get my Mav, I will def get one of this. I never had a truck before, why people love so much the sprayed in liner? Is it the roughed looks?

I like the bed mat idea, as I don't plan on hauling anything that will do much damage to the bed....but my question is: How does it do when driving at highway speeds? does it flap, make noise or anything else? (I'm a non-truck person)

It is a question of what you are using the bed for. If you are filling the bed with loose bulk loads (dirt, mulch, gravel) then the spray in protects the sides but the bed liner gets in the way. If you are woried about the bed damaging what you are loading (furniture, etc) then the bed liner protects your items but the spray in rough surface may cause more damage.

I like spray in but may get a bed liner if I start hauling delicate stuff more often then dirt and mulch, currently I wrap things in moving blankets.

I have a bed mat in my current truck and it is great from keeping loose items from sliding around, throw in a plastic tub and it sticks down well. My mat is fairly heavy so it doesn't flap around. I will probably eventually get one for my Maverick as well.
