Oh you were the one who posted the fiesta steering wheel!? I have questions about that haha i’ll ask them in your thread for simplicity. Have you had the intake long enough to notice performance/milage differences?

my main things are an aftermarket leather interior, bed liner, and 120 inverter. The first one i didnt think was worth the lariat + lux packages required. The last 2 i didnt want to finance so i’ll do them as DIY projects
I'm definitely with you on the three you've listed - absolutely will be doing an inverter at some point and I'll get bedliner done after I've already scratched up the bed a little bit (since you have to scuff it up anyway for lining)

Leather seating is a nice to have, but like the bedliner I'll wait a little bit until I've got something to cover up LOL

The intake I'm not entirely sure on, I put it in so soon after I got the truck. I know it probably isn't going to make a huge difference overall, but I love the added space in the bay and hearing the little hisses and wooshes of the turbo. Once I take my first Long Drive (sooo much city driving right now) I'll have a better concept of whether the intake is worth keeping on.

What was the expected wait time for you guys who got onto the pre-orders in the first month? I didnt even know the truck existed until december haha i dont totally understand why the orders dont seem to be totally fulfilled in date order either. That must be frustrating
It seems like it all goes back to what allocations dealers have, I agree The trucks should be built in the order they are received. But that would make to much sense 🙄

Bit frustrated as well. What would stop Ford from reassigning the Maverick chip to other vehicles for better margins or other reasons?

Ive noticed a lot of anger on various threads here. Just was wondering how many of you are mad because you sold your previous car too early (or similar), and how many are just mad because youve been waiting longer than you expected, or another reason all together. Lemme hear it all! A safe place to vent… and helps me understand where everyones coming from better.
Since you asked, I really don’t care, it’ll be here someday…

My two cents -

Yes it’s a truck, and there are bigger concerns in this world. But, we all went in and got duped by Ford and (some) shifty dealers. This is capitalism so - they get to back out of a non-binding deposit we put down, and we get to take our money from their stock and bash them should we want to online. (Not that this forum is going to change anything, but, we all get to commiserate amongst ourselves, and keep going tomorrow is the day we get our emails)

I’m still waiting, and yes like some others said, if I had found this forum before hand, I probably wouldn’t have ordered.

I was going back and forth with a certain member who is responsible for a good number of whiney crying threads here because his Maverick got delayed and the moderator banned me from posting there. That kind of sucks because I can't respond to other people who keep quoting my posts. I messaged the admin to ask why considering I said nothing offensive and got no response. Personally, the mods should be doing a better job of regulating the content here. I was actively participating in the thread about the "regular car reviews" Maverick review, their reviews are funny as hell and of course someone had to start whining and crying about the allocation system there. This place is a clown show. I've probably been on at least ten different model specific forums for cars and motorcycles and have never seen the amount of whining and crying I've seen here.
You could always start your own forum/thing. Call it maverick chat or something ?

Not mad but annoyed with all of the crying and whining, it's like every thread turns into the same non-productive trash. It's a damn truck, there are literally people in the world with so many far worse problems and people want to cry and whine here because of an uncontrollable pandemic and the associated supply chain crisis. Get a grip people. When your truck gets here it gets here.
The greater crisis fallacy.

Voicing a complaint is not to ignore suffering and the problem being first world does not invalidate what is stated. America is the most vehicle dependent country on the planet. Public transportation is crap. Which means delays can affect the livelihoods of the persons who put their faith in Ford.

Ford mislead/got caught with their pants down on the Hybrid ratio.
Ford made the mistake of reducing their wafer supply agreements.
Ford has absolutely fumbled customer relations by ignoring first come first serve dynamics on a pre-ordered vehicle.

Those are repeated because they're true, and you're mad because you don't have a rebuttal to the complaints.

If you don't have a build date yet (and I don't) I'm guessing it might be mid summer before you see this vehicle. A ten to eleven month wait for me. In the mean time you pray you don't have to spend a lot of money on repairs. Interst rates will be likely be a per cent or so higher higher by this summer. More costly to finance.

I'm invested now, but I doubt I would had ordered this truck if i knew it would take this !ong. But hey, Ford will be giving a bag of plastic parts for being so patience.

10000000%

Same incessant whining in every thread.
Same “I bought my truck this date and NoThInG from ford”
Same “nice pics! Can’t wait for My TrUcK I ordered it this date and haven’t heard blah blah”

It’s getting so old, so many members need a reality check, including the mods who delete my posts giving a days dose of reality check.

I am not angry or complaining - but you could sum up everyone’s frustration in a single word. “COMMUNICATIONS” We are all intelligent, well read and aware adults. However if it wasn’t for @fordvideoguy many more would have bailed out a long time ago. Nobody is asking Ford to cure world hunger, find world peace or cure the issue with limited toilet paper in the supermarket. Just be honest with us about the status of the builds and when we might get our Maverick’s. If you could see my driveway you would know I like Ford cars and trucks. Over the years I have put allot of faith in you - now it is time for Ford to have faith in your customers that we will understand when you COMMUNICATE with us.

P.S. I love my 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid Titanium AWD and the Technology Package. I hope my future Lariat Hybrid will be even better.

I got mine back in November after a 4 1/2 month wait.
I received an email survey yesterday from Ford (not the dealer) on my work email as I work at Ford PDC.
They asked about what i liked and disliked about my Mav, then at the end there was a comment section. I said that the long wait did not bother me so much but how the lack of communication, long waits, dealer markups etc. are horrible and that there are still people waiting on June orders. My point as a Ford employee was to voice my concern about the new to Ford customers and the "been burned by Ford in the past" return customers. We all under stand there is a chip/parts shortage but the way this is being handled is just embarrassing.

All you have posted is hearsay. None of your accusations against Ford have been proven as 100% true or accurate. The truth is that every manufacturer is going through this in some form and Ford never could have forecasted the popularity of this truck. Should I remind you that you're trying to buy the hottest vehicle on the market right now? I know someone waiting five months now for their ordered CRV Hybrid with no delivery guarantee in sight and another friend has been waiting months on a replacement part for his Rav4 Hybrid while it sits in the shop. It's just the times but every tin foil wearing weirdo has some conspiracy theory against Ford.

It has NOT stopped them. Ford stated specifically that higher profit vehicles are being given priority.
I have said before, we are screwed by this. I understand they why of it but no matter, we are still screwed.
