Ive noticed a lot of anger on various threads here. Just was wondering how many of you are mad because you sold your previous car too early (or similar), and how many are just mad because youve been waiting longer than you expected, or another reason all together. Lemme hear it all! A safe place to vent… and helps me understand where everyones coming from better.

Not mad but annoyed with all of the crying and whining, it's like every thread turns into the same non-productive trash. It's a damn truck, there are literally people in the world with so many far worse problems and people want to cry and whine here because of an uncontrollable pandemic and the associated supply chain crisis. Get a grip people. When your truck gets here it gets here.

I'm definitely frustrated, though I'm not one to lash out in online forums or complain incessantly. I ordered on July 6th and sold my car a month later, only because I had access to a free car in the interim. I finally got scheduled for the week of Jan 31st, but the tracker still says "In Production" with the delivery date listed as TBD. I suppose I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's just been such a long slog that it feels like I'll never get the truck. Add on top of that the worry about the dealer potentially pulling shenanigans when it finally does arrive, I'm just worn out. I think if I had known what I was getting myself into I may have just held off completely but at this point i have too much time invested to throw in the towel.

Ok this is a safe space so I'm going to be honest. I had a freak out about 3/4 of the way through the 7 month wait. I started a thread but a couple of members diffused me pretty quick and I got back to being more levelheaded about this whole process.

Maybe that's what other members here are going through to. They have their one freak out moment post about it then get some reassurance from other members who have gone through the same thing or are going through the same thing.

I don't believe I am pissed or upset, rather befuddled how Ford brought it to market, kept saying Mavericks were going to be delivered and yes some were, stating the cause was chip shortage then push delivery back by weeks only to see the same reason pop up again and again. Then as in our case we were to take delivery on Feb 18 only to get the same excuse once more with another push back on the delivery date to May. We did have a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander which was totaled by Hurricane Ida and the insurance covered 99% of it. That money is being used to pay for the Maverick. Now our main transportation is our 2002 PT Cruiser that has a slipping clutch, needs new shocks, engine runs rough as heck, electrical problems, and looks like it got in a fight with rocks and boulder after Ida hit. Oh I forgot, the odometer will turn 300,000 miles very soon. So that places us in a conundrum. Do I spend around $2000 getting it "reliable" only to junk it after the Maverick arrives, or NOT sink money which we no longer have thanks to Ida while risking the PT Cruiser to last until the Maverick does arrive and then junk it. Lest we forget the recent history how this blasted computer chip and trucking issue keeps rearing its ugly head and could very well cause ANOTHER delay. As you can see, I , as many others, are in screwed up situations that stem from COVID and the governments lack of doing something to get people back to work instead of paying them to remain unemployed. While I understand very little how the chip shortage came to be so huge, I feel it should have started to slowly be resolved instead of what seems to be a dead stop.

I not mad, I'm irritated. Heck, i'm not even surprised.

I wish I had found this place before I ordered. I likely wouldn't have.

Fell for the dealer's "12 weeks" BS. They bought my truck at that time. I've been borrowing a vehicle since then and it has gotten old having no info, no estimates, "might" get built this year. If they would tell me:
A. Yes we can do it but we expect it to be XX amount of time.
B. No we can't get it built this year due to factors out of our control

I would be 100% good and could make a decision. There is a '22 Frontier exactly like I would order at the dealer below MSRP but that isn't what I really wanted. If I need to get it to have a truck I can but I don't want to and then my Mav gets built.

I called Ford today and spoke to the nicest lady you could have asked for but they have tied the Customer Service reps hands and limited what they can see. My dealer is not any help-I know more than they do.

This is organized compared to how Lightning ordering is going LOL. That was my first choice but then they removed the extended battery option from the pro so I was out. Not spending 75k+ on a pickup truck.

Its possible you just got more angry about people getting angry, than 80% of the people that are angry here 😂

kidding aside. I lean your way in this arguement lol but i like to hear people express themselves lol

I was mad because my previous car failed a month before my truck was delivered. I had to bum a car from my parents, which is embarrassing, and every days I was digging through emails hoping Ford was getting me my Maverick. It just made everything so slow and miserable.

Of course, I know intellectually there isn't squat Ford could have done. But emotionally it was incredibly frustrating playing the waiting game.
