I'm thinking about purchasing a used hybrid Maverick.
Is there anything I should be worried about or any reason not to buy??

I love my hybrid, just what I needed. If you're buying from an individual, consider taking it to Ford to have them check it out, otherwise, go for it.

There have been a number of issues, including several recalls, with the hybrid. The early models had the most issues. Not sure I'd buy a 2022. Lots of people love them. Others curse and spit whenever you mention Ford. My advice is to do your due diligence and decide for yourself. Make sure it's still under warranty and purchase an extended warranty, if you decide to get one.

Check the carfax, look it over underneath for any collission damages (anything bent or warped) and ask the owner about any "sleep mode/ remote features disabled" warnings. We've gotten one only 2 times in 18months, but there are a few trucks with unresolved electric problems. I'd stay away if they report those issues.

ALSO, look at the price compared to just buying one new. Might be worth waiting for a 2025 model?..

But we love our 2023 we got at the 2022 price. :)

A lot of good points already addressed in earlier posts. Because of the Ford Maverick having a great resale value or holding on to their value, I would highly advise to price out a new Ford Maverick. Also if you are financing it many times a new vehicle offers a better interest rate and or a longer term on the loan both can reduce your monthly payment and monthly cost. Also you should figure extra cost on a used vehicle tires, exhaust, battery etc on maintenance. Lastly the difference or loss of a portion of all of the Ford standard warranty depending on age and mileage. In the end it depends on many variables how many miles, how old etc and how much are you the consumer is saving, if any. Also for 2025 if your needing mpg and AWD it's available and not in the 22,23 or 24 model years. Best of luck but ultimately you must remember in used vehicles it's buyers beware. You have no idea why it's coming on the market. Hopefully the sellers are just upgrading or just getting a new vehicle. Just remember the reason why they are holding onto resale is the demand. I would question why it's for sale then again the high resale value may be enough reason to sell it at this time frame. I think you will see more used ones coming to the lots just from leased vehicles being turned in also.

First thing to check would be the vehicles entire service and repair history (how many fluid changes on components and the timeframe, 12 V. battery replacement , CV axles etc>) then check to see if all the recalls have been completed. Something to keep in mind is that the more recent models (2024 up) have had many improvements to address previous issues. And lastly, how much Warranty is left

Hello, are the original warranties transferable?

Hmmm. I'd say downtown Edmonton or bust for the Hybrid. The earlier the build, the more caution I'd have. Don't overpay either.

Lots of warranty work would spook me, but outstanding recalls would not. Original 12v battery still going strong here. No plans to replace it. People talk about 2025's, they don't exist. I've got 26,000 miles here. Not waiting for an overpriced 2025. I like the 2023 and try to get a deal or walk away.

I enjoyed my 24 Lariat Hybrid, but TEST DRIVE (over a brick/cobble or bumpy road). Many (all trims) have dash/overhead rattles that can be extremely (to some anyway) irritating.
Remember too, you are not paying for a Lincoln, so don't expect it to sound (inside) like one.
Check for CV noises & vibrations.
If you get a "good" one you'll love it.

I can't speak to the longitivity of the hybrid because mine only has 10,000 miles. Mine is a 23 Lariat hybrid and I love it. The hybrid system is great.
