Ha! A dealer just reached out to me to let me know they have an XLT hybrid coming in & they are selling for $53,900 (MSRP with Lux package & co-360 is $36,545) $17,355 Mark-up.
They offered me my original MSRP on my XLT Off-Road trade-in ($35,165). So after trade in I would only have to pay and additional $18,735 Plus PST & GST on that balance $2,248.20 = $20,983.20. So how many years would It take to break even on the fuel savings to make up that $20,983.20 in order to get the hybrid? I may have been born yesterday but it wasn't yesterday night.
THIS is why Ford is going to a 'direct to consumer' model on future EV's & Hybrids.
