Pulse brake lights

Although I probably won't get my Mav for a while. I ordered late Dec. I understand the dealer I ordered from puts on pulse brakes on the third brake light. I looked up the company and they sign a deal with the dealer that they have to put it on every car they sell. Is having the third light pulsing when you first apply the brakes even legal? I tried to research that but got conficting results. I actually like the idea but don't want an excuse to get pulled over.

i always think their car is broken when i see it! but its just a scam, i passed on a mav in Feb because they wanted $450 to put pulse light bulb in and it was just a markup. They came with all this fancy paperwork about it saving lives and accidents but it would be mandated if it was that good and ford would put it on on their own. I'd avoid this dealer and get MSRP. Or put the product in yourself for $30.

To late to avoid the dealer unless I want to start at the back of the line. I know it's a scam. Looked up some costs that people pay and see it's about $400. But no definative proof. And I know you can get them for around 20 bucks. Still 400 is a car payment going to insist no add ons when I need to reorder. I was looking at Toyotas by me as I need a car soon. They had pinstriping as an add on for 3K. 3K for a roll of tape.

I've seen pulse brake lights on motorcycles and they really attract your attention. I've never seen them on a car or truck though.

I had it on my Miata but with a small car like that you want all the attention you can get like a motorcyle.

Yeah I have been rear ended a few times myself. But still not sure if legal. Regardless of it being a bs add on.

Tell them no. They can drop the MSRP of the vehicle and leave them “installed” so they get their commission. You can buy a similar wiring setup for almost nothing on eBay and it takes all of 5 minutes to install.

Wow so you paid for the scam and still did not even get them? That's a new low. I was concerned my dealer would add them as a member of this forum using the same dealer said he had to pay 500 for them. Well I got my truck no add ons. By the way I did google it and you cam buy a lamp from Amazon for like 20 bucks. But there is a company that sells to dealers a kit much more pricey.

Can you provide a link or document about this? When I bought my '18 Escape, the dealer had it on, and I told them to remove it, or I would simply purchase elsewhere. They took it off/disconnected it.
