Brake Hold Button

Several times during a stop on an incline, I have gently released the brakes and heard a loud thumping noise.

Two days ago I decided to try the automatic brake hold feature. At first it was hard to get use to, but I feel it works very well once you get use to it. Since I have used this feature, I have heard no thumping noise from my brakes.

It makes me think, Ford can do a software update to prevent the thumping brake noise on an incline.

i havent had this issue. the Mav has hill start assist/Auto brake hold as a default. have felt it in use a couple times with no thumping.

I've felt the "thump" a few times, although my thump could be different from yours as mine is a mechanical "thump/grind" of what I assume is the brake hold system (which I always have active unless I'm creeping) dis/engaging. On occassion I have felt it "thump" while out of brake hold but it typically revolves around starts and stops.
