BooyahIt is but you should see the way strangers go out of the way to help people on the roadside in impoverished countries. You might have a ox team and a 3 wheeled motorcycle showing up trying to pull a truck like that.
BooyahGreat job! Not many people are willing to be the good Samaritan, especially if it mean taxing their vehicle. Some of us are willing to do what needs to be done, ramifications be damned.
As others have said, the world would be a better place if more people were willing to get involved in being part of the solution vs. onlookers.
It's sad. People used to be more like that here, too. Neighbors used to come out to help each other, often in droves. It still sometimes happens, just not like it used to.Booyah![]()

That is the truth, factual and correct information, because there in a shortage of good doers out there. But I feel if more people seeit more people will feel it, then more people will do it.
See now my heritage comes from the dirty south. Multiple Uncles have told me If you ain't dirty helping your neighbors well you didnβt do it right.

Several years back I stopped to help to help an elderly couple suck on the side of the road in just a couple inches of snow. It was at the end of a very bad storm and many roads were closed, but there were still some people coming by, some with 4WD trucks, and many people younger than the couple and myself. Not one so much as put down a window to ask if I needed help. A bit later, as I was all but frozen and exhausted, a young woman pulled up, got out of her car, and came back to help. It was but a couple minutes and the couple were free, that all it took; but not one other passerby could spare a couple minutes of their time or comfort to help someone in need. It was sort of infuriating.
From Photo 2 it appears you used a strap to move the load. A kinetic rope with soft shackles would be smoother on both vehicles and safer too. While driving home today, I noticed heavier than normal traffic, especially for mothers day. I slow crawled over two hills and then I could see the problem, as people are trying to turn around or squeeze by this old Chevy P30 motor home. It straddling across both lanes diagonally and no one was stopping to help.
Mind you, turning around adds more time to get home for mothers day. So, I get up to the ole behemoth and told everyone to get it, and put it in neutral.
No one listened, when they saw me hook up to the front-end. Everyone had theturn on. I gave it hell, and we'll freed up the road way. Sorry no action shots while in the roadway the driver were crazy.
But, chalk one more up for the Maverick, the people in thier yards were all saying hahahathat won't move that's ole thing it's too heavy. I said four wheel locked
, rear end locked
watch
this.
The first to pulls weren't great only got half a lane out of it, I had to reposition due to the uphill grade. The third pull was the one. The neighbors closed there mouths and walked
away.
I undid my rigging and packed up. The front bumper had a few new signature custom tow points. Onward.
