Protective End Cap Stub Axle/Wheel Bearing Nut

I recently installed winter tires and rims on ‘23 Maverick XLT. Truck came with the 17” UniqueEbony Painted Aluminum wheels with the “Ford” logo center knockout. I bought winter rims/tires from Ford. The winter rims supplied are the silver painted rims, but don’t appear to come with center inserts to provide “debris/rust” protection for stub axle end thread and wheel bearing nut. Local dealer suggested knockout from 17” wheel - Doesn’t fit. Any suggestions as to what to use? In the meantime, I’ve applied Finnigan’s Waxoyl. Thanks

What wheels exactly?

What is the diameter of the center cap?

Those are sealed bearings that are encased inside the housing in back of the lug stud hub. if they are the cheap steelies wheels see if wal mart or a junk yard has the inserts or fake old style snap on whole covers, and pack the center with grease

17” steel wheel (painted Sparkled Silver) that is standard on the Maverick XL. Inside Diameter of rotor rim that dust cover seats into is 2 1/4”. Lip of rotor rim that could support flange of dust cover is ~1/8”. It appears Ford have not bothered to fit dust covers to stub axles of the Maverick…

You can use these. You can get them pretty cheap on Ebay, etc...
