At one point when dealer markups were several thousand dollars it was actually cheaper to buy from granger or long macarthur, fly there for pickup day and drive it home.

When I got my mav at chapman there was a dude with an overnight bag waiting to pick up his new car. They were leaning hard into that at the time, even sending an uber to pick up customers at the airport or hotels or whatever. Not sure if they are still doing that but they were solid to their price. If I was buying another ford I'd consider going back.

Congrats. Hard to say without seeing the order breakdown (model, options, etc) sales tax, doc fee, etc. Is this an existing on-lot truck, or a new special order? I ask because getting a VIN # so fast would be a bit unusual.

Yes, I found only one Ford dealership on this website that offers a $1000 discount from the MSRP.
Unfortunately, other businesses in Houston usually ask for around $30000~$32000 for inventory mavericks.
