Simple research can go a long way! Mounted my factory tires on the BS wheels, and weighed one combo when I got home. 42.8lbs. That's over 8lb weight loss a corner. Not too shabby! It definitely needs lowered, but I'm good with the deal I got for these!

24lbs really isn't too bad for a 17" or bigger.

Hypergrams are in the 17# range for the 18s I think, but dang, I paid half of one of those for all of my BS wheels, lol

Little update! Finally got around to building an actual exhaust!!! It uses a Vibrant muffler, and depending on the insane volume I expect it to be, I'll probably add another vibrant resonator or muffler. I'll post the 3 idle decibel readings I took with full factory exhaust, open downpipe, and I'll add the one for the vibrant exhaust when I get it mounted.

This should make my truck a constant 12.20-12.30 daily driver, as last night it had no problem running 12.30@113mph, full weight with about 70lbs of groceries in the back, lol.

So I know these phone readers probably aren't that great but it's what I have for comparison. My average DB level cruising seems to be around 71-72. Not terrible, but too loud for my longer daily commutes. I'll get another resonator/muffler and see where that puts it.

It's nice to have the "open dp" power all the time, lol. My plan was to do a cutout, but I think the tone will be right about what I want with the second muffler added!

How loud at wide open redline? Also, how's the tone.. someone once compared the sound without any resonator to a kazoo, but they didn't provide a sound clip.

I didn't measure wide open, as I know it's just plain loud. I like the tone, as it's deep. I'll do a sound clip when I can. Might wait until the second muffler is on.

My second Vibrant muffler came in. I'm working on welding the rest of the exhaust up now. I cut all the pieces and put them in place, and it was very quiet at idle! I'll get a sound clip when it's all welded and painted.

Last night, I decided to do an experiment as we were expecting ice and snow in the forcast.

On my way home, running my 87 daily tune, I tested the 0-60 with the lightweight BS wheels and tires, then later did the same with my steelies and snow tires. I lost over .3 seconds with adding the snow tires. Mind you, this added 20lbs a corner!!!

This is nothing groundbreaking, just a comparison of what added rotational mass will do! However, it only changed the 1/8th mile ET by roughly the same thing, so once you have the vehicle moving, the added mass makes less of a difference.

Hello again!

Today I switched back from a 2 step colder spark plug to a 1 step colder spark plug, so I figured I would post some part numbers for those looking for colder plugs.

1 step colder NGK's: LTR7IX-11 or stock number 6510.

2 step colder Denso's: ITV24

The reason I am switching back is due to the cold temps. The Denso's misfired horribly when the temp was below 20°, and you could hear slight misfires just driving around in 20-45° temps. If there are still slight misfires after going back to the NGK's, I wil make sure to update, but on a quick test drive it seems to be much smoother. This will basically only apply to those of us who get down in the freezing temps for winter. Hope this info helps!!
