Spent some time under the Mav yesterday and today. She's back up and running, and should be a bit safer with fuel now! 😉

More to come in the coming weeks as I get around to playing with the ethanol blends!!!!

Fueling can't keep up. It's running away on my E30 tune. I'm hoping this allows for the actual afr to match the commanded, which will in turn allow me to either raise the boost or raise the ethanol content and advance timing.

Well I'm back at it, to a degree. Coaching 3 baseball teams and having 3 kids on 4 teams will take all of your free time!!!

I bypassed the intank pressure bypass, and went with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and all 3/8" line.

The factory line is .312" OD!!!!! That meas the ID is around .25"! (I haven't actually measured yet....)

I have some work to do with 5Star to see what my options are, but doing this hasn't completely helped with the fueling running away. It's helped for sure, but I need to verify a few things with them and I'll decide how to proceed after that!

The last pic is of the gauge sticking down on the underside of the truckette. It'll be taken off when I decide on a final fuel pressure, and will get plugged with an 1/8th npt.

Small update! Over the weekend the truckette started to have idling issues and even stalled a couple times.

Checked the fuel pressure and it was down at 20psi instead of 58-60. After taking apart the AFPR, which was just fine, I had to pull the pump assembly from the tank. The line from the fuel pump had come undone.

So this small update is basically to show that no matter how much you feel that you know what you are doing, there will still be mistakes made! So I redid the attachment, and all is good to go again.

No updates on tune updates, as 5Star has not gotten back to me. That is all for now!

bummer about the fuel pump issue, but it sounds like you got it sorted relatively quickly.

I'm curious about the update process. I've never had 5Star. Are you logging, sending them a file and waiting for them to send a new tune back?

Basically yes. Sometimes I just message them to talk, see what can be done with these ecus, because I'm not too knowledgeable with the ecobost ecus. I sent them a few files, so they can see what the additional fuel pressure is doing, if anything. Hopefully they get back with me soon, so I can decide what to do next.

Your mileage may vary.....

Just went over 34,000 miles, and I have averaged well over 28mpg. Think about that. I have hundreds of quarter mile passes, about 75 of which are in the 12s, and I haven't had any issues with the drivetrain of this thing! Will it last 300k miles? Not if I can push it like I want, lol. But dang, these things are built extremely well drivetrain wise!

It's probably the 80MPH speed limits I drive on daily, going mostly 5 over, but the best I can average is around 25 MPG.

My Tremor is right at 22.8 at 5600 miles but I did a lot of offroading in it and at least 1200 miles at well over 100 degree temperatures. Plus most of our trips out have ether been up the mountain or with the trailer. Sometimes both! Today I hauled almost 3000lbs to town with it. I hope to get it into the 13s one day, when cash allows.

Yeah, those high speeds will for sure bring it down a few mpg. It's all personal choice on speed. Thankfully my daily route is 80% 55mph zones, so I keep it around 60-62 most of the time.

The tremor is a whole different beast though, so I wouldn't be upset about almost 23mpg with it!
