Problem with CP-360

I have a Hybrid Lariat with the lux package, and cp-360. The only time it "beeps" is when I am backing using reverse. My friend has an Escape with CP-360, and his signals when going forward into his garage, approching the door frame. I have never had a warning from any front sensors on the display truck on my screen. Could it be that it's disabled, and only the backup sensors are working?

Then why do they make you buy the CP-360 option when you get the Lux package?

I want to thank all the people that replied to my question about the CP-360 option. If it's not the same as the CP-360 on other models, then they should call it "CP-180" since it only does halt the things it does on the Escape!

I have a 2020 Escape SEL and it only beeps when backing up. I think the active park assist is an add-on feature even with the Escape. But it isn't perfect. My driveway has a slight slope and so it constantly goes off because of the floor of the garage until the car levels. But I only back into my garage. So, I personally wouldn't miss a front facing version.

I think the reason it isn't offered on the Maverick is because Ford was trying to hit a price point that would have been prohibitive with more advanced features. I also think that is why the CP360 Assist is limited to the Lariat. Them making the CP360A an add-on rather than a standard feature, however, has everything to do with the constraints it had last year.

Maybe the expected model refresh for MY25? will change up the add-ons.
