Good evening all, after 478 days of waiting I got the call that my Hybrid Lariat Lux has arrived. YAY! I received the updated buyers order from my sales consultant and the rebate/private offer was missing. When I notified him of the omission, he indicated he would look into it and get back to me. He calls me 30 min later to say, they cant find it and now the onus is on ME to figure it out.

I bring up the Ford Chat. Ford Chat refers me to marketing, I call marketing to inquire. The rep indicates she has found my offer, but it is under a different address? I gave her the address of my last home for verification and she said yep, thats the address we have it under. She gives me the certificate number and I am satisfied. I relay that to my dealer to get the paperwork rolling. My dealer is saying they can't use this because the address isn't the same??

I call Ford marketing back. They basically tell me that I have to have the dealer reach out to their Ford facing rep at their Business assistance center to get this resolved. So basically I am here to ask, how screwed am I? I went back and looked at my paperwork, the buyers order I signed in 11/2021 states my current address. The License i gave them, has my current address. I honestly have no clue how whoever issued this private offer certificate got this old address. I sold that home 5+ years ago! Any thoughts on this @fordvideoguy @Ford Motor Company I want my truck that I waited 15 months for. But I also want the rebate. I have an old license with that address. Please help me guide the dealer to resolution.

The problem isn't that the certificate is missing, it's that the address doesn't line up.

OP, I had the same problem with one of my orders. Unfortunately it's not just that they used the wrong address, they messed it up. They have the correct street and house number but have my dealer city and zip so it's impossible to show something with that address. Hopefully I don't have the same issue when I go to pick it up.

The dealer will need to contact their FORD inventory specialist. They should be able to sort this out with the inventory specialist to get everything to match. I believe this was the solution if you weren’t able to find you number. Perhaps this person can resolve the address conflict.

OP, I had the same problem with one of my orders. Unfortunately it's not just that they used the wrong address, they messed it up. They have the correct street and house number but have my dealer city and zip so it's impossible to show something with that address. Hopefully I don't have the same issue when I go to pick it up.
The dealer just needs to submit a exception with the certificate number. There are mistakes in data entry and Ford will allow exceptions like that.

Confirming that your dealer needs to file for an exception to resolve this. Our offer wasn’t showing up because the MY22 order had a space in our name, and the MY23 re-order didn’t.

That was enough to keep a certifcate from being generated.

But once the dealer worked with his Ford rep to come to this conclusion, the exception was filed, and the offer was there when we sat down to sign the paper work to buy the Maverick.

(Didn’t take long — just a day or two.)

Correct, this is the issue. I have the certificate. I have the number, they can see it. The issue is the certificate is associated with an address I lived at 5 years ago. The salesguy claims they can't use it if the addys don't match?!?!

The dealer just needs to submit a exception with the certificate number. There are mistakes in data entry and Ford will allow exceptions like that.
Thank you! The rep that handles this "stuff" is in at 1pm today, heres hoping for some resolution. <crosses fingers>

No, certificate is based on your 22 order not how your 23 order is entered. The offer can only be used on your 23 ordered vehicle. Try using the tip I posted last night, https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...-your-private-offer-certificate-number.28078/

No, certificate is based on your 22 order not how your 23 order is entered. The offer can only be used on your 23 ordered vehicle. Try using the tip I posted last night, https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...-your-private-offer-certificate-number.28078/
No need — Sorry I wasn’t clear, but our dealer filed an exception and was able to get our private transition offer that way.

I was just curious about how the certificate actually gets generated, and why sometimes it doesn’t show up. My understanding was that this happens sometimes if the info entered on the MY23 order (name, address, phone) doesn’t exactly match how it was entered for MY22 order.

I was just curious about how the certificate actually gets generated, and why sometimes it doesn’t show up. My understanding was that this happens sometimes if the info entered on the MY23 order (name, address, phone) doesn’t exactly match how it was entered for MY22 order.
The certificate is generated from the information entered into COVP on the 22MY order. The offer will be in the system but sometimes it can't be found unless the search matches to what was entered into COVP. That is why they have options to search by zip and name, email address, phone number. So you can try another way because it is rare that all 3 were input incorrectly.

UPDATE: Thank you for the feedback everyone, the store was able to resolve the issue and I was sent a new buyers order this evening with the rebate. So looks like I'll be picking up my Mav this weekend. Thanks again.
