When it came to rolling my 2022 order (placed 10/2021 hybrid xl) my dealer (dealer A) said it hadn’t balanced out and thus could not be converted yet. Unsatisfied I called another dealer (dealer B) and placed a 2023 new order just to be safe. A couple days later dealer A called and we rolled my 2022 order into 2023.

Somehow that new 2023 order with dealer B was scheduled for production (12/5). Can I use my price protection certificate for this vehicle or is it order specific to an order number/dealer? Converted order with dealer A still no prod date.

thanks!!

Presumably you're referring to private offers for a '23 as price protection expired with '22s.

Regardless, the answer would be no. Private offer for '23s is not specific to a dealer but it is specific to an order, in this case the one originally ordered as a '22.

For others in my situation, the price protection was not vin or order specific, I was indeed able to apply private offer rebate from a different dealer and different order/vin to the first maverick that arrived. Maybe I got lucky or had an awesome dealer (or both). Saved $2750 on my hybrid.
