Price protection plan explained

Can someone bullet point out exactely how the price protection plan works and the steps to successfully get the dealer to make it work?

tons of post on this forum about price protection details, etc. Click the Search icon and enter price protection and you see lots of results. Better yet, google " fordvideoguy price protection " and Tim has numerous videos explaining/showing details. But bottom line, Dealers don't have to honor them. Also, if I understood correctly, MY23 won't have it - but I could be wrong on MY23.

It depends on the dealer. Mine gave me an "out the door" price that will be honored the day it arrives. But the dealer I purchased my Escape from likely doesn't have a similar agreement (which is why I've personally blacklisted them). Small consolation at this stage, but you really have to shop around with dealers.
