Do you have a link to the adapter you bought?wishful thinking. Have had a similar unit in my receiver from sometime within the 1st week of purchase. If I never used hitch, maybe, but the hitch unit in the receiver is loose and moves within the receiver wearing off the paint.... Result, Rust.... Late last season bought one of those adapters that tightens it up to stop the rattling within the hitch... Works great.... No more rattling from the rear when towing... lol

Thanks - I"ll check one out. I bought an adjustable hitch which adds more wiggly bits to make noise. I need to do something to quiet it down!No sorry I don't. Can't remember who I bought it from. Lots of places make them, but the one I bought, the "U" shaped part was coated (I believe I had a choice of color, got blue to match my truck, lol). Type in anti rattle hitch adapter and you should find lots of different ones, Here is a sample of what it looks like from Amazon. Hope the link works.
