Powertrain Malfunction And Parking Brake Error

Hey all,

Just posting the newest headache in my Maverick ownership.

After my previous ordeals with transmissions and transmission sensors, I received a powertrain Malfunction warning light and an parking brake that is permanently stuck on. The truck was flatbed towed to the dealer where they are currently on day 2 working on it. I was told the powertrain control unit is not communicating. I have followed a few threads with a various potential issues from a stuck parking pawl to a 12v battery issues stemming from various modules not going to sleep. 3 months of ownership this will be the 3rd time in the shop with going on 10 days of being in the shop.

I have to worry at this point if I just said the wrong voodoo spell accidentally or if this truck was built underwater. I love the truck I do, but as we get closer to lemon status here I have to wonder if it's just me.

No mods, regular oil change with Blackstone analysis, ptu and RDU and ecvt fluids are all up to snuff.

Anyone experiencing this as well?

Years ago they used to talk about cars manufactured on certain days were a problem, not sure if that still holds true. Seems like some odd problems to have.

days of manufacture is no longer an isue. to keep their facility is running 31/9/435

They have probably spent more labor getting it off the tow truck than actually working on it hands on. Things like this get pushed to the side since it probably is warranty work and they will take their time at their convenience to look at it.

Follow up 10/7

Was notified by the dealer that it's hybrid cabling under the hood that has been corroded and chaffed to the point of failure.

This is the second corrosion issue I've had with this specific truck and it's not even winter. First one being the auxillary transmission pump connection.

Part is on backorder until November....

Not sure of my next steps here...but in 4 months of ownership, it will have been in the shop for 40 days....
