1/2 the size, twice the mpg

No, I don’t think so. I’d say, 3/4th the size. And 50% the mpg, overall.

Funny, In some of the pictures the Mav looks just a bit smaller, depending on the camera angles. Mav in front, closer to the camera looks bigger with a F-150 farther from the camera. Etc.

Mav curb weight, bout’ 3,600
F-150 4,000 to 5,000
So yeah, bout 25% more

It's a F250 but it sounds funnier my way

OK so I parked next to this guy on a recent trip. Maybe I should get a couple fishing poles at Walmart and strap 'em to the front bumper.

Looks like an over-height transport lead vehicle, with those adjustable upright "curb-feelers" to me.

Add in the rear facing warning lights which probably go off to warn the driver of the rig behind of a low bridge and a ladder in the back of the truck to adjust the height of the "feelers" maybe?

Good pic,

Andy

Yes, it did have a decal on it saying "New York State Official Escort Vehicle", or something like that, it's the yellow badge on the fender and was for New York. Given that I've seen some weird escort vehicles in the past including minivans, at least this person seemed to take pride in his ride. Although those poles reminded me of something Doc Brown stuck in the DeLorean in "Back to the Future" when he was trying to catch the lightning.

Was going to try for a better pic once I left the store, but by that time a Marine was pulling in with an almost identical truck to mine aside from the Lariat trim.

(Didn't catch your name or rank - just saw all the stripes on the back glass. Nice truck, and thank you for your service.)
