Chat with Ford customer service just now.....What is "In production"?

they should have given you a VIN so you can check on the ford tracker (Using your order number) to see the status.

YES....this is a cut/paste from my conversation with them, they are out for the weekend.
I'll call on Monday for the VIN.
Currently your vehicle is in production. When an order is "In Production," it is being manufactured at one of our factories. For more information regarding your vehicle order, I recommend contacting the New Vehicle Support Team at 1-800-334-4375. Their hours of operation are are 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. EST (Monday-Friday). They are great about getting information for customer regarding their orders.

Almost the same build as mine except with the 4K. Removed my CP360 as well. Same time frame. However, I don't see a lot of XL's being built on this forum mostly XLT and Lariat. Wonder if our trucks don't bring in the profits we are moved down the build list. I'm waiting and not really complaining as earlier orders have been waiting longer than me.

Well they chose mine and I'm only in this thing for 2.5 months or so...guess I am very lucky!

Sorry....I called Ford and spoke with a live person....I asked for a VIN and there ain't none!
I'm still not scheduled. You would think that the chat person I chatted with earlier in the weekend would know what he was talking about but he was wrong. I guess it was just a generic response and a voice call number to inquire more.....pos.......

I feel that also. I think this week and the first week build scheduling in June will be big Ecoboost weeks. I heard they will be building 60% Ecoboost that month since hybrid is on 40% constraint. Fingers crossed! Good luck to everybody!

Ordered mine on 10/3 w/ FX4, Lux, Co-Pilot, Sliding Rear Window and Sunroof from large fleet dealer and am still patiently waiting. Hoping to get delivery by early Summer but not sure if that is realistic anymore.

I called my dealership yesterday to remove splash guards, tray floor mats and FS spare. Dealer sales manager called me today telling me that they recommend leaving all them on, that I will be built for this model year. He said my constraints are SIBL, bed cleats and CP360. Manager told me I'm #6 in line and hybrids are all in front of me. No build date for this week. I forgot to ask about allocations,,, I was excited to finally be getting some news! First news I have heard since I placed the order. The call definitely pepped up my spirits. I made sure to tell him I appreciated the call and would love to hear more from them concerning my order.

Did my weekly Ford chat and was told I am still unscheduled. Whomp Whomp.

Not surprised since I am a January order. Perhaps next week will be the week since it is the first scheduling week using April allocations. This time next week I will probably ask my dealer how many unscheduled orders they still have. Last time I checked in I was pleasantly surprised how quickly their unscheduled number had gone down.

Ordered mine in early December and I was really wanting mine by birthday June 23 or at least by the 4th of July. Sadly, at this point I don't think either of those will happen.

I’ve come to the realization that my October order may be pushed 2023 and I’m fine with that, but I hope my order will be prioritized to the front of the line. Being price protected would also be nice.
