So the story is long but the short version is that I ordered 2 ford Maverick hybrids from 2 different dealerships back in 2022 for a 2023 model. After that both of them got transitioned to a 2024 model. Received the confirmation from ford that they will offer an incentive when they come in to match 2023 model price. Now one came in December 12th 2023, went to one dealership , no issues picked it up and received the transition incentive and purchased it on the spot. Now my second one came in at a different dealership and I called them to have the same discount for the 2nd order and it got denied, claiming that since I already claimed one transition incentive . Now I don’t know if I’m crazy but my understanding was that the incentives was based on vin number not on one per household.
Anyone have any idea how that works?
I called ford marketing about it and they are trying to look into it. Could have been that the dealership messed up when they transitioned my order from 23 to 24? That’s what a lady at ford marketing was suggesting that might have happened.
