Costing almost $4k than my 2022 Hybrid trying to justify my second, thoughts??? Other car is 2023 RAV4.

PRO:
1 Share miles with ‘22 having almost 40k now.
2 Recall / repair status with ‘22 TBD
3 ‘24 cruise control
4 ‘22 will be decent first vehicle for new driver twins in a few years
5 Easy to sell the ‘22 or ‘24
6 See no near term better new truck / auto deals for years to come, buy while still “cheap”
7 Wife likes driving Mav ok.

CON:
1 $4k price increase, is there a better auto deal?
2 Hate ‘24 XL color, went with blue : (. Liked the red a little but not $500 worth.
3 Insurance cost of a second truck, drop collision on ‘22?

Let me know your thinking. Not even sure if Ford will ever build this given constraints. I still kick myself for not buying the second in ‘21 with Chapman 3% below invoice shipped to Raleigh, OTD something like $23k!

I have a 2022 XLT hybrid with 36k. Love the 40.3 ave mpg over the lifetime. Have an XL hybrid ordered, due to it having the cruise. Didn't see the extra 2900 value for the XLT. I will probably sell my 2022 when the 2024 comes in. Even with the 4k price increase, still a great deal for a truck that gets that kind of MPG. A good thing is, our 2022 hybrid will be worth more due to the price increases. I would suspect I will get roughly 90 percent of what I paid for my maverick in 2022 if not full price. I cannot complain either way. Practically a free ride for 2 years and 36k of driving! This is my other ride, only gets driven on sunny, dry days. Put away for winter. Replaced my vet as one of my toys.

Even with the price increase, you aren't getting a hybrid truck at this price. But honestly, what you do is up to your individual situation.

Personally, one of the reasons I pulled the trigger yesterday was the fact that these things are only going to get more expensive. Better to pull the trigger now and start eating through it than find yourself behind the eight ball in a couple years when the base XL EB starts at >$25,000 and a build like mine pushes $40,000.

Only you know what is best for you and some of these are directly personal choices.

Even with the $4k increase - I still find incredible value in the XL Hybrid.

It's funny because if Ford would have came out in 2022 and had the hybrid engine as the $1,500 option nobody would have bat an eye. They could have even had $20,995 base price for the EB and then a $1,500 hybrid engine option and they would STILL have had crazy demand.

Love that Bronco color, saw it in person at dealer a few day ago!!! And yes, I’m also sitting on a 2000 FRC C5 with about 23k miles - one day will have to say bye but I’m stubborn on that one! I know unpopular here maybe and with my wife but if $$$ was plentiful, twins out of house and I had a bigger garage it would have a new Z in it, often regret the ‘02 and ‘08 I sold.
