Picked up my Cactus Gray Lariat AWD FX4 Fully Optioned

That signature lighting looks great; I was starting to wonder if I went too far going Lariat but loving that look.

I've said elsewhere but shame the tail lights (and blinkers?) are still incandescent; I'm sure there will be plenty of aftermarket swap-ins that look good.

Seats feel good so far. They remind me of the old Eddie Bauer edition explorers. We'll see how they fair in the coming summer and if I put cloth covers on them

have you received an email from Ford? I had to teach my local dealer how to get the orders verified. He went to his verification system and showed me the Maverick wasn’t listed, but it’s as on another page. He hadn’t verified any of the orders. Sucks as they were my backup plan.

Stupid question. If you received an order confirmation email from Ford, does the dealer still need to verify the order?

There is a second verification process the dealer has to do as well. Did they take a drivers license and have you sign the build sheet?

The dealer took a copy of my license but I didn't sign anything.... I asked the dealer if that was necessary and he said "Nope, I got you all taken care of". Anyway to make sure?

you should have signed a document that looks like this. You can call 800-334-4375 and ask if your order is in the system. Did you get an email confirmation?

Picked it up last night and so far really happy with it overall. It fits our needs perfect without taking up more space than needed. Ride is great and definitely not as truck like as expected. It feels confident and has plenty of pep. Ask any questions you may have and I'll get back to you when I can.

Very nice indeed. Although I love my Area 51 Lariat FE, this would have been my second choice.

Really bummed the stupid Ford Product planners won't allow the Falken tires with the black FX4 wheels on a non-First Edition Lariat, which is exactly what I wanted.

I could swap out the crap Pirelli's, but that's an extra $800....

Seriously considering the Hot Pepper Red now because the required wheels for the Falken tires look good with the red, and horrible with the cactus, IMO.

Thoughts?

That's my truck. I removed the tonneau cover from the order 3 weeks ago and got my build notice this week for early December. Great photos, thanks.

The dealer I ordered from did a couple changes for me which they can do easily before the build notice from Ford.

Just confirmed that my Lariat Lux AWD/CG/4K/FX4 order was placed on 1/28 and is in the queue. Dealer said it was literally one of the last orders to make it into the bank. Gonna go back and strip out all the accessories and external options.
No scheduled build yet.
Will be very interesting to see how this pans out.
