Photochromic tint on headlights

I installed photochromic film on my headlights in order to "black out" the truck during the day. The film turns clear at night so it will not dim my headlights. I'm waiting on more film so I can do the taillights as well.

Won't the film also react to the light from the headlights and dim them down anyway? Really don't know just asking.

Nope reacting to UV light only.

It's very over cast today so they aren't very dark.

If I hit them with a black light they get very dark

Do you have a specific product link you can share? I’ve been interested in this and have been hesitant to use ZEV and then have to install LED bulbs.

How was the install, did my tail lights and they were a pain, even with a heat gun the film bunched up a little.

I didn't think it was bad. I used some soapy water and a heat gun. Went on fine.

so is the film applied both on the upper and lower portions of the lens? the upper has the DRLs on a lariat like yours (and mine).

That is correct. The DRL are not on in the photo but are still very bright with the film.
