Everyone I talk to tells me they hear a lot of wind noise when I’m on the phone has anyone else had this issue? I’ve tried turning off the AC and closed all the vents still getting air noise. I was just wondering if anybody else on the forum had this issue?
Thanks in advance. Don

Yes, everyone I talk to says I sound like I'm in a wind tunnel, especially when driving on the interstate.

Yup lots of wind noise when driving over 40, it’s so loud seems like it’s just one of those 1st gen bugs. Wind noise is unbearable if driving 70-80. Haven’t seen a fix, no wind deflector will fix body issues seems like. Xlt

This may or may not be relevant, but I found that most wind noise comes from the outside rearview mirrors. My first car with wind noise was my first SUV. I assumed that the noise came from the roof rack. With it removed, I still had the wind noise. Only accidentally, the noise was reduced, almost eliminated, when I left the mirrors "in" after going thru a car wash. FWIW.

I've got the same problem, it sounds as if it is coming from the rear doors. I've put sound insulation behind the rear seat but it didn't appear to really help. Yesterday I drove with rear seat up and man is that noisy so I'm going to put some insulation there. I have a sneaking hunch it's coming from wind going past the rear doors so I'm going to have to figure out how much damage I can do dismantling the panels to insulate there.
One guy has commented that turning the mirrors in might help so I'm going to try that. Then I'll see about ear plugs(LOL)!
