I got my 2024 XL hybrid, just got my spray in bed liner, ordered bunch of stuff to make it my special little truck. However, my truck decided to stop.

My wife and I were waiting to pick up a dinner when the truck suddenly displayed a "Parking Brake Fault" sign and I received a notification from the Ford Pass app about a "Restraints Indicator Lamp Warning."

The rotary shifter got stuck at Parking and wouldn't turn, leaving the car frozen. Thankfully, I found a solution on a forum about using the neutral towing feature to turn the shifter and drive home.

However, the shifter still stuck at P, so I'll have to wait until Monday to drive my truck, which has only been driven 350 miles.

Hopefully I can come back with a better news and a posting with a photo!

Well. Two weeks has passed.
Is there an update to this issue?

Totally forgot,

Took it to the dealer, what they found was faulty harness connector to a sensor that controls airbags and park break.

They gave me two options, take the panels off and replace the harness or just zip tie the loose connector and hope for the best.

I chose the second option. Seems ok so far.

How was the connector faulty? Did it physically break? Was it burned or melted? Reason I ask is because I had a parking brake fault warning pop up on my dash. Thanks

The connector's lock wasn't latching properly. The loose harness was under the passenger side. I will take a photo tomorrow and upload it.

Does your truck also show the front airbag warning light with the parking brake fault? The mechanic told me he was able to troubleshoot it fairly easily because he knew there is a sensor affecting the parking brake and airbag together, and followed it from there.

I don't recall the airbag light coming on but I did see the ABS light on. These started very shortly after I got 2 codes 0353 and 0303 (misfire codes). Now my truck sits at the dealer and I honestly don't think they know what they are doing to figure it all out. They are blaming the misfire codes on a faulty ignition coil connector. My truck has 1529 miles and was built March 2024.
