My MY24 came with one. Anything to save money during the price increases. By 2032 maybe the Maverick will follow the “Slate” option scenario.
Going through the manual has been a “right of passage” for every vehicle I have owned.

Legitimately, there's a strong case for only making them available in an electronic format.

As evidenced by the posts on this site, most people don't bother reading them.

Even I'll admit that unless I'm looking for something specific, I don't usually do much more than scan them so I know what's there.

What if Ford shipped manuals to the dealer and had them available if desired? A salesman may like that idea… but so old fashion. I liked collecting and keeping the sales brochures in the showroom.

There would still be cost in printing and shipping and maintaining the stock and in today's ever expensive world, cost reduction is where it's at - even if that means sacrificing a sacred cow (unfortunately).

Having said that, I also collected the sales brochures over the years and was saddened when those stopped being printed. Time marches on.

You can always download the online manual to a thumbnail drive. Take the drive to Kinkos or similar business. They'll print it and make you a nice manual.

my 24 XL manual is still in the plastic lol. i either quickly google something, read it here, or just figure it out.

When I was waiting for my 2025 hybrid, I started searching for an owner's manual through Ford.
Interested inquiries were supposed to leave your information on the Helm website. Not being printed at this time!
After about two months, I received an email, that it would not be available.
I took the PDF information from the Ford website to a local printer. $79.11 plus tax.
Of the 568 pages, 84 near the end are Ford's legal requirements!
Every Ford survey I have received, I voice my opinion on lack of sales brochures and owner's manuals.
It should be an option, at least when you order and are waiting 5 months for delivery!
The problems with printed information, in today's software updates, a lot of information can change!

Hence another reason why the manual went electronic-only. I mean, no one's (hopefully) gonna change the location of your spare tire overnight, but if the software updates and a submenu changes, that section of the manual becomes irrelevant or misleading.

Only things I've looked in the owner's manual for are fuse locations and spare tire removal.

I would Hazard to say that 98% of owners never looked at their printed manual unless they had too.

Yep, I think printed sales manuals and owners manuals are a thing of the Past.
