  1. 2026 Maverick AWD Hybrid – "Park Brake Limited Function – Service Required” After 30–60 Min Flat Towing

Something to consider if you haven't already hard wired your lights. I was a little skidish about hard wiring my toad lights on to theMaverick. I've been using wireless remote lights for several years. I plug a transmitter in my RVs trailer outlet and attach the magnetic toad lights on the...
  2. 1st Time Flat Towing my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid (5 hours / 200 miles)

Am I reading too much into this? When I look at the instructions for Recreational Towing the 2025 Maverick Hybrid, it explains how to do it. But there isn't any reference to the AWD model. Then on page 332 of the manual, it does reference the AWD vehicle; it says it can't be towed with 4 wheels...
  3. Another 12V Drain First Flat Tow of the 24 Maverick Hybrid Lariat

I see this is a older post hopefully everything is working now. I just came across an interesting and helpful product. It's a battery monitor that bluetooths to your phone. Plus it's very easy to in stall. I purchased it on Amazon ANCEL BM200-US Car Battery Tester...
  4. Flat-towing a 2025 or 2026 Hybrid behind an RV

So far no one really knows why we are suppose to wait 15 minutes. Poor to no help from Ford or a Dealership. Does opening the door to get out after exiting neutral tow upset some countdown or reset a computer is going thur? That's my guess. Could you keep the door open while you exit neutral...
  5. Owners manual

You can always download the online manual to a thumbnail drive. Take the drive to Kinkos or similar business. They'll print it and make you a nice manual.
  6. Question about InvisiBrake System for Flat Towing 2026 Maverick Hybrid AWD

Some RV'S are wired so using the exhaust/engine brake will activate the brake lights, at least in the past some did. I'm not familiar with the InvisiBrakes, but I've owned and used both Brake Buddy and RVI brake system which I believe operate similar to Invisbrake. They take more than just brake...
  7. 2026 Maverick XLT Hybrid Flat Tow Confusion

Ford does a poor job with their instructions, I would think a major corporation could do a better job. Especially since they are obviously they're trying to sell the Hybrid Maverick to the R.V community. Reminds me of the instructions that come with Chinese products. I had no luck talking to the...
  8. Most of the time my hybrid works great, but….26.8 mpg is not good

First thing, I would check the mpg manually. Probably correct but I don't trust the manufacturers equipment. 26 - 27mpg is what I got Birmingham to Austin 75 +/-mph. Drving around local area mostly flat 65 +/- mph usually 33 +/-mpg. Great around town not really a highway vehicle. I won't be...
  9. Multiple minor rust spots

2025 XLT Hybrid I've noticed rust spots on doors inside door jams. Very minor so I'm not impressed with Ford.
  10. Most of the time my hybrid works great, but….26.8 mpg is not good

I just completed a 1600 mile road trip with my hybrid. Austin, TX to Cullman, AL. Going I was hauling approximately 600 lbs in the bed, returned empty. 26'ish mph going 27'ish returning between 70 and 80 mph. Only reason I would recommend the hybrid is if you are going to tow it behind an RV...
  11. 2026 Maverick XLT Hybrid Flat Tow Confusion

I agree the instructions are poor. I've ask at the dealership they don't know and care even less. If all you are really doing is charging the battery then if you have a charge line from the RV to the truck starting the truck shouldn't be necessary. Plus what is the 15 minute wait all about?
  12. how do you keep it in ECO mode?

Kind of stupid to build a vehicle and boast about how economical it is, but it will wear out prematurely if you drive it in economic mode. Brilliant!
  13. Flat towing the maverick hybrid behind an RV?

I'm not going to doubt you, but where did you get your information? Are you a Ford employee? The instructions state run for 30 minutes or drive it. If over heating the transmission is a reason then Ford should include it in the manuals instructions for sure. I would say that's a pretty major...
  14. Flat-towing a 2025 or 2026 Hybrid behind an RV

I think Ford's tow instructions are poor. The stop every six hours or less to charge your battery. If charging the battery is the only reason, it shouldn't be necessary if you have a battery charge line between the truck and the RV. I do, and the battery stays charged, which should be addressed...
  15. 2025 XLT bed side mounted tool box

This looks fine. Have you installed one yet? I'm concerned whether it will fit square along the truck bed or if the wheel well interferes with the fit. Thanks for the information
  16. 2025 XLT bed side mounted tool box

I would hope the lights and plug will still be accessible. I would think you will just have to open, swing out the box, to use the light or plug. I would have preferred the passenger side just be further from traffic if parked on the street
  17. 2025 XLT bed side mounted tool box

This item is available at both Home Depot or Lowe's plus elsewhere. Has anyone installed one? I'm curious about it fitting square to the side of the bed. I have a Softopper installed so it'll have to be mounted below the top of the side of the trucks side rail to clear the Softoppers mount. I'm...
