Good Sunday morning all!
I am the proud owner of a shiny new 2025 Maverick. She's all black and in the three weeks that I've had her, I've made a few improvements. Mud flaps, window visors, tailgate dampner and a spray in bedliner. I am struggling with the tonneau cover though. I would like a hard one, if possible, but much of the research says that the hard top ones are tricky to fit because the Maverick is a unibody. Does anyone have any suggestions? Much appreciated all.

Congratulations on your new Maverick.
You are going to love it and we want to see pictures.

Personal opinion:
Hard tonneau covers are nice but are really expensive. You might want to try a folding soft cover to see if that will work for you, first. (+/- $150 from Amazon). I love my soft folding cover and it’s really easy to remove if I need to.

Congratulations again, my friend and welcome to MVT!

Dawn,
🤝Welcome to The Forum🤝
A hard bed cover is no harder to fit than a soft one, just takes a little patience to fit. It offers a ton more security against some person walking by with a 99 cent razor knife who wants to slice open the top for sh!t$ and giggles.
You can find folding hardtops for around $400-$500.
Good luck with your truck and have fun with it.
Be safe,
GB

Lots of threads here with people adding a cover. It doesn't feel like installation of a hard cover presents any problems.

For the tailgate assist that you added - If you want to replace the tailgate tie down bracket that had to be removed to fit the assist strut, I've made a few that I'm selling.

Works well and clears the new strut and no issues with the cable. And made in the USA. I have a thread here in the For Sale forum.

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. I hope you add some pictures of your new truck.

When I ordered my truck in 24 I had originally ordered the soft tri-fold. Dealer deleted it to get a build date. I found a hard tri-fold on Amazon I think $360 w free delivery.

I can't attest to other makes or other people but I thought it installed quickly and easily. Put the seal at the back because lower than the sides. Set the tonneau cover on the bed. Fold it out and align it. Roll it up gently without moving the location. The first panel on mine has a turnbuckle to keep it there. After that fold it out one panel at a time and adjust the clamps to hold it down but not to tight just secure. I think it took about 15 minutes didn't know what I was doing now it takes about 5 minutes. Plenty of DIY u-tube videos out there. I really like the tonneau cover especially in acclimate weather especially snow and ice but even rain. Best of luck with your decision.

If you have a friend or coworker that has one maybe you can ask for a little help or assistance. Once you see how easy it is you will be upset at yourself for overthinking it. At least I hope so. Best of luck with your new truck but please attach a picture or two of it.

Thanks for sharing the photos...Neat triple black truck. Man I miss the vibrant greens of Upstate NY (central leatherstockings and fingerlakes regions especially)... What a beautiful idyllic photo.

Lo and behold, we did receive rainfall here in southern Arizona in the wee hours... We might see something other than cactus green too.

A first truck is kind of a special thing. I think I was a young 21 years old when I got my first one (it was well used and ugly, so I repainted it in the backyard of my rented apartment in Upstate NY of course).
