Picked up our 24 Lariat Hybrid on Wednesday and have been busy over the last couple of days with a few accessory installs, So far really enjoying the new truck. Installed WeatherTech floor mats, Diode Dynamics LED bulbs, Mabett Flaps and Fender Flares, Synetica USA retractible Tonneau cover, Rhino roof rack and Elevate Bed rack. The next task is getting the Roadmaster baseplates installed so we can flat tow it.

That's nice you can have the tonneau cover and the rack together. Rack looks quality, too. (y)

When you plug the truck into your RV does that maintain(charge) your trucks battery, too?

Can you tell us more about the Diode Dynamics LED's? Lasfit seem by far to be the most popular, but that doesn't make them the best. Would like to know how they installed - did you have to use the resistors to eliminate hyperflash? How do they look? Anything else you can share?

We have not towed yet. I still need to get the base plates installed on the Mav. I'm guessing we may need to run a charge wire to the Mav.

Hopkins Battery Maintainer is what I put on mine. The LTV Wonder's 7-pin has live 12 volts when towing, and thus it is present at the 6-pin end of the towing cable. Internal diode and a 5 a fuse. Single wire connection to the Positive point under the hood. https://www.amazon.com/Hopkins-39332-BrakeBuddy-Vehicle-Maintainer/dp/B004RCXB8A/
Note: The only way to see the voltage on the vehicle end of the cable is to actually plug it into the towed. Ford does some strange logic in the Transit's 7-pin connector. I had to connect everything AND turn the Transit on, in order to see 12 volts on the charge line. Something to do with the way the Ford detects that there is a "trailer."

One thing to keep in mind is that the 12v port in the maverick goes to sleep shortly after shutting off the truck. If the supplemental brake unit in the toad requires a 12v port you will need to wire in a live dedicated port for it.

Sure. It appears to be well made and the install was pretty easy. I did have to remove the two Ford flex cargo sliding rail system as it interfered with the tonneau clamps. Gave them to my son who has a 22 Ford Maverick. It does take up a little bed space in the front but there is still room to put things underneath. I like the fact that you can lock it open in any position. It's a nice black color, pretty stout and comes with the T-Rails. Slides very easily from full open to close. To mount the Elevate rack I just slid in the T-bolts and fastened them down. I think Amazon had it on a black Friday sale for $50 off. That Elevate rack system is very heavy duty and well made. Really like it as well. Hope this helps.

I bought my base plate from Etrailer they are very knowledgeable about the Maverick so they made sure I had everything I needed. I had it installed in May and I’m a full timer so it’s been towed a lot with no problems so far.

I really like the DD bulbs. The only ones that needed any modifications were the ones in the rear tail lights and front turn signals. I just had to take the dremel tool and sand off the little tabs on each side. About 5-10 seconds for each bulb. The rest were plug and play. No issues with size or fitment in the cargo, third brake light or marker lamps. They don't hyperflash when looking at them from the exterior but the turn signal indicator inside the truck blinks at twice the normal rate. I do have their resistors but have not installed them yet. I don't mind the signal issue inside but the wife does. Their black Friday pricing made the purchase a little less painful and closer to what the full kit from Lasfit would cost. Plus you get a 3 year warranty and they are American made. Their presales support was also very good and they spent quite a bit of time helping me choose the right bulbs and providing technical assistance for possible install issues. To their credit they had no experience with the 24 Mav but just mentioned a few possible install scenarios.

The combination of the roof rack and bed rack... capable of placing two kayaks across both? I ask becuase I can't quite see the width differences due to photo angles. They look like they were made to go on the truck together, like an OEM solution.

Terrain is really starting to seem like the darker version (replacement) for Avalanche (which was too close to white, no?)
