Other options like GFC Camper for Maverick?

I’m currently waiting on my 23 Maverick and will be adding a GFC or something similar. At this stage it only seems to be the GFC option. No other companies seem to make them for the Maverick as of yet. Has anybody else found an alternative ?

Im buying a ARE MX topper and gonna get one of those suv tents. That way we have headroom for sleeping on the bed with the tailgate down and a ground tent portion for a place to change cloths and for the dogs and pee bucket. We have a rooftop tent but its fabric is about done, if we re-skin it we may put on the roof for our nieces and nephew or they can just have hammocks lol!

I like the GFC but its pricey, and we would have to add custom windows for our dogs.

Sort of remains to be seen how much the overlanding community will engage with the Maverick. The only other companies I've seen with similar function to GFC is Alucab and Topo Toppers - they don't currently show a Maverick application.

In a similar, yet more overkill vein, there's Skinny Guy campers too - apparently they have a 4.5' bed variant in the works.

Oru designs confirmed with me they intend to build one, they need somebody to bring by their mav so they can get exact measurements, they’re more affordable than a GFC, I intend to DIY my own pop up shell similar to GFC, plenty of good writeups and YouTube videos to watch for inspiration, not as difficult as it seems if you’ve got access to a welder

I am installing a wedge style camper from Packout Campers in Las Vegas. It is similar in price to GFC but more feature rich like awning, mattress, and mattress lift. My install date is February 23rd.

Anti Shanty will build you a nice "dwell shell" for a load of cash. All metal camper shell with a metal folding roof top tent.

Has anyone tried the smallest truck campers from Travel Lite? They have the Upcountry 365XS and 550XS, with dry weights of 1130 and 1150 lbs. With the Maverick's payload limit of 1500 lbs., it would not seem possible to carry that much weight in the bed. Otherwise, they are pretty neat.
