I am aware that the 23 I ordered probably won’t be built, and it’ll need to get rolled over (manually) when the wr order bank opens. But I was encouraged that getting my order form in would put me ahead of folks ordering a 24 then. The Lariat with lux pkg, cop360 and assist and a trifold tonneau was the order. I can wait. My 2017 CRV has been very reliable and fairly thrifty on gas…just not as thrifty at a Mav hybrid. And I will be flat towing behind my RV.

Well sir, your build is very much the opposite of "thrifty", I'd say. Gas doesn't matter THAT much. Mine is a bit less (XLT Lux, no co-pilot), but still not a thrifty XL.

Toyota brought the hybrid to market decades ago as you remember. Every Hybrid was a base model, Toyota thought Base would naturally pair with fuel economy. Us North Americans can have some fuzzy justifications. ha ha.

You’re right about not a thrifty choice, but it’s the only selection within this model that I can flat tow behind our motorhome. And (a big and) my wife thought it was a good idea. She is seldom enthused about anything with hydrocarbons in it. Cars, boats, snowmobiles, atvs… You name it and she doesn’t much like it. But she really likes me, and she’s cool with the Mav!

Yep - it's nice to have the option to tow a Maverick Hybrid behind our small motorhome. It's both towable AND light enough to be practical.

Just bought a 2023 Maverick hybrid for the same reason. Bought from a guy. It only has 80 miles on it. Hooking up March 1st for Islamorada for a whole month. Can’t wait.

Donald, may I ask how much you paid? Was it close to the price the purchaser would have paid? I’m concerned about the time it’ll take to get mine built. Some folks who ordered Nov ‘21 are just getting theirs now. I pray the production numbers will be greater since the 3rd shift was added in July. However, adding a shift doesn’t mean higher production numbers. At the Rouge plant they have 3 shifts, but they only run 1 shift. So each shift works once every 3 weeks! They have 80,000 trucks parked around the plant in Detroit!

I believe that the added 3rd shift for the Maverick will be for MY24

But I read that the shift was added in july? Was this to be the coming July (‘23) or last July (22). My understanding was it was done last year…further reading indicates you’re right. July ‘23
