2023 Area 51 Ordered - Arizona

Placed my order for a Hybrid XL in Area 51 during the short order window. I'm in San Tan Valley, Arizona, and my commute is over 2 hours a day in my F-150. My dream truck is basically a brand new old style Ranger, and this fits the bill for me. We own a dark grey 2004 Ranger, and we love it. This being able to save me from the pump is even better.

The F-150 will be just fine until the Maverick arrives, and I'm in no rush, but I'm excited none the less. I heard estimates are 8-12 months out? I figure the XL will arrive sooner as I heard they're making the cheaper models first.

Glad to see this truck is such a success. Why Ford got rid of the original Ranger to begin with is a mystery to me...

Hello and Welcome I just ran across AZ about 2 weeks ago . Was 96 degrees when I get pretty chilly or Arizona weather but never took the air conditioner off low it worked great.
Was running about 66 to 68 mph on interstate 40 got right at 44 miles per gallon my hybrid does not like over 70 mileage the mileage really falls off . By the way don't go to In-N-Out Burger in Kingman Arizona stopped there for lunch took me a half an hour to get out of the parking lot because so many people have never seen a Maverick Before LOL . In all the places I have been from Tennessee to California I have never got the response that I got in Kingman Arizona over my Maverick.

Sounds like my wife's 04 Ranger, she never has to take it off low in the high 90's.

That's interesting to hear. I know where I'm at I've seen quite a few Mavericks. They're still rare, don't get me wrong, but they're not impossible to find. I usually see one every week during my commute. There are a number of red ones around here, oddly enough (figured that would be a harder to find color). Quite a few Area 51 and Desert Grey ones, a white one, a dark grey one, a yellow/orange one, and a black one.

I see you have the Falken wildpeak AT 3W tires on your hybrid. Have you notice a decrease in MPG compared to the stock tires?

Just went from Tn to Ca and back little over 4000 miles . The speed I drove mattered alot for the MPH . 70 plus MPH. Average 33 ,MPN When I got out west and gas was getting close to $ 500 a gallon I put the Cruz on 67 to 68 MPH and my mileage averaged 44 MPH alot of difference . Also the Hybrid has plenty of power I went over the Continental divide with the cruz on the Maverick never faltered slow down shuttered just kept on trucking along with no problem at all also when I went down the Continental divide I never touched my brakes the cruise was set at 68 and the regenerative braking kept me right at 68 mph no problem at all. I run my tires at 32 PS! cold which is 35 PSI hot Also no tire noise at all . I have two other sets of these tires one of my wife's Cherokee a set on my Chevy Z71 and are very happy with these tires do hope this helps.
