Hey guys, please excuse me if this has been posted before but I searched and couldn't find a answer. I ordered a XLT 2.0 on August the 8th. Should I have received a confirmation email? I haven't received any sort of build date or even a confirmation that the order was received. I gave the extremely small dealership a $200 deposit. Is it due to the size of the dealership? I try to shop local and this is one of, if not the smallest, dealerships in the state if not the nation. I stopped by last week and I was told that it could be several more months before I hear anything.

If the dealer did everything correctly including your email, you should have received an email from Ford within a couple of days of submission by the dealer.

Hi, Meadedog. My experience was similair to Bigred's. I received an e-mail from Ford that they had received my order very shortly after I submitted it to the dealer.

But..........I've a coworker who ordered his Maverick around the same time I did, but from a different dealer. He hasn't received any e-mail from Ford regarding his truck. The only information he gets is from his salesman at the dealership. This dealership is as big or bigger than the dealersip I used. So, I don't know if the size of the dealership makes a difference.

More likely someone did not follow thru with putting your information, atleast your e-mail, into a required field when making the order. Hopefully this is all it is.

I'm probably more impatient than most, so I would follow thru with the dealer and request information be provided. You gave a downpayment so I don't think that's unreasonable.

Good luck. Hopefully it's something simple and everythings still on track. :)

Lots of emails were not entered correctly on the orders, so Ford could not send out the verification (usually within hours of the order submission).

And ONLY the dealer can change/fix the email on the order. Some dealers used their own emails, instead of customers. With your Order number, you should still be able to chat/call Ford Customer service and find out the current status of the order.

Edit: An XLT 2.0 August order could well be in build process by now. My 7/17/23 order for a Hybrid Lariat is already built (12/28/23) and working its way to me.

I agree with what others have said. You should have received a confirmation e-mail shortly after placing the order. There are of course some reasons as to why, ranging from the innocent, to the not so good. It really could be an honest mistake of not entering your e-mail OR entering it incorrectly. At the very least they need to give you an order number and the VIN if it has been assigned. That way you can at least track its status as it goes through production. If they refuse to give you that info, then that could be a red flag.

Did they have you sign paperwork confirming your order when you placed it, and did they get a copy of your driver's license? For my order process they said they had to submit a copy of my license to Ford to validate the special order, and I had to go back to the dealership and sign the order paperwork after it was confirmed. If your dealer did not do that, then that too could be a red flag.

I don't know if size should matter. My dealership is super small - as in the two sales reps that sit at open desks in the showroom, the sales manager sits in a small office right around the corner and they are all close enough to talk to each other without raising their voices. Despite their small size they are super buttoned up.

You should have gotten a confirmation email shortly - usually within 24 hours after the order was submitted to Ford.

If You do not have the sales code and order code, call your sales manager and ask for them. Then call Ford and ask for your order status. Do not trust your dealer to do this correctly. Too many people on this forum have been screwed over by incompetent or dishonest salespeople.

I suspect Mikell meant 45 days.
I received a conformation email within 30 minutes of ordering my Maverick over the phone with no deposit. I did go through a big dealership that has a salesman dedicated to Maverick sales.

I ordered 7/18/23. My first email from ford came 9/1/23. About 45 days.
I was antsy too after a few weeks so I asked my salesman when to expect a ford email. He said he didn’t know but provided the below to assure me the order was submitted and accepted. Perhaps ask your salesman for your order’s Dealer Order Receipt.
When people say they get a ford email within 24 hrs I think that’s their experience perhaps, but definitely not a rule.
