Stand in front of it and hit the remote start. I dont know if they only function below a certain temperature though.

If there is a problem with it, it should trigger a check engine light after a few times.

No code, was reading that maybe autobody shop did not recalibrate it with the new shutters, or maybe a blown fuse, but cannot find which one it is, owners Manuel, no help. Google search not helpful with which fuse either.

Perhaps they left it unplugged, or there is a problem with the wiring.
Check fuse 8, under the hood.

I use Car Scanner and have a few gauges that I like to monitor. A few weeks back I added the grill shutter position gauge out of curiosity. It's winter and during the extreme cold we had recently, I did not see any opening at all of the shutters on the gauge. A few days ago the weather warmed a bit, into the 50s, and I finally saw some movement on the gauge. While driving I never saw more than 7% opened. When stopped with the ICE running or not, the gauge opened up to 67%. Probably will see more shutter activity when the weather warms up a bit.

What brand of scanner do you have? And monitor?

I use this scanner:
https://www.amazon.com/FlyroadUp-Sc...L1PL58&psc=1&ref_=pd_basp_m_rpt_ba_s_1_pr_sc#

It bluetooths to my Android phone. I use the app Car Scanner ELM ODB2. You can setup a ton of gauges using this app. I chose this scanner because of the off button. You can turn it off and on and not have to unplug it to stop the power draw. I have used other cheaper scanners with success but had to remove them to power them off. Any ELM 327 bluetooth scanner should work.
