Old man giving in to when to change oil

At 75 i have decided to break with tradition and change my oil every 5,000 miles on my ecoboost 2022 maverick ..i guess progress doesn’t wait for non believers so im giviing in!father time keeps pulling me back has a little to do with it!still going to put the 1/2 quart of oil in though

Am going to be 75 soon and figure too old to change my habits, did my first oil change at 2k, break-in oil out, was free at my dealer, second at 5300, cost 140 at dealer with tire rotation, Ford synthetic oil, only drive 5/6k a year now, $140 a year is nothing for a piece of mind.
