OC CA Mavericks

I’ve seen quite a few Mavericks locally and try to wave at them but they look like they’re deer in headlights when seeing another .. I wave but they seem amazed at the fact they’re seeing another one in the wild . Just wave back people!!! No special handshake needed..

I do the same. I’ve yet to have someone wave back. Maybe it’s only a Jeep thing. Anyone dedicated to wait forever for a vehicle deserves a wave from me.

I am glad someone else brought this up. Here is what I have encountered through ownership in the last year:

1. Commercial truck drivers look at you as if you are on drugs and are dangerous. I look at them as subtly as possible to see if they acknowledge that we both have Mavericks.
2. Unmodified and plain XL Maverick owners tend to ignore me. They seem to be embarrassed by selecting the most basic configuration, while I am excited to see a sensible Maverick owner using their truck for what it was meant for. I hope to see more XL Maverick owners enthusiastically acknowledge other Maverick owners.
3. About one in four of the XLT and Lariat trims, in addition to modified Maverick owners, wave or will talk to you in the parking lot.

In conclusion, I plan on doing my best to wave and acknowledge other Maverick owners. Yet and for now, my son will have to carry on the tradition since he has my Maverick up in northern California for the moment.

I've only seen about 3 Mavericks here in the LB area & I always wave & give a up. Sure would like to get together with other Maverick owners here or in the other neighboring cities!!

What fun. I want to do more of this. Trying to do better at the waving. Can't wait for a get together in the long beach orange county area.
