Has anyone else had trouble with Ford keeping them updated? On Jan. 25th I went onto ford.com to check on any updates on my build which was supposed to be the week of Jan. 29. It showed that my truck was already in production. Ford never sent me a notification it was i production and although it stated I could view my window sticker there was no link to click on to do that. I checked today, Jan. 31, and everything is the same as it was 6 days ago. Still no word from Ford. Having worked at the Kansas City assembly plant for 30 years I know it does not take 6 days for a vehicle to go through the assembly process. A friend of mine who ordered the same day and has the same build week is going through the exact same thing. A little communication would go a long way in improving customer relations.

You should start with the "Ordering, Pricing, Production, Tracking, Delivery." sub-forum. Lots of misery over there.
Ford didn't contact me till it landed at the dealership. I did check the tracker daily. 10-day for mine to build, 2 days to ship,

all I ever got were 'scheduled' a 'built' and a 'shipped' email notification - no progress statuses in between. I think the term 'in production' means more than it's being physically put together, there is probably some up front pre assembly line stuff going on ....

I’ve got zero emails. I’ve been tracking online. I ordered mine as soon as the banks opened. 3 weeks later my friend ordered the exact same truck same color even he got an email saying it was shipped to dealer and wait for contact from them. Mine still says in production. We had the same build data but apparently his got done much sooner than mine. Glad I went the extra mile to make sure I got mine in early.
I absolutely hate how ford stayed it would be based on when orders were taken.
Such crap from them. Lucky im not in need of this truck. But I would love to pay them back for the truck with the same respect they give us. Be nice to pay them back whenever I feel like it.

The communication from my dealership was... non-existant. I had to call them, and get the VIN, then look up online how to check on the order status, then when it shipped to the dealership, I called THEM to ask if I could come pick it up. Needless to say, not impressed with my dealership's communication.

But at least I got my truck!

Since the experience is typical, I suspect the problem is with the backend databases. Many companies are using old database systems/reporting that sometimes only update weekly or even monthly. If someone on the forum has worked for Ford information technology and has more insights, I'd be curious to learn.

Sounds like the same deal for almost everyone. Mine was schedule with a build of 1/8 was competed on the 9th, shipped on the 15th, and delivered to the final rail yard on the 30th. The only way I was able to know anything about what was going on with my build was checking the status every day. They seem to be fairly good at updating the status, horrible with communication along the way. I would say talk to the dealership, but if they are like mine, I knew more than they did. A piece of advice is once you see that it has shipped, contact Ford Support on the chat and see if they will give you the rail or transport info. Some will give it up no problem, others are very reluctant at best. But they will all give you the current status.

what the link to the tracker? I have an order form but haven’t gotten an email that it’s been scheduled for production yet
