So we live in a mid sized city in a populous state with 5 Ford dealers within 30 miles of each other but I have only seen 7 actual rigs and only at the dealers.
Today I spotted this fresh off the truck Hybrid Lariat at a dealer awaiting its prep time... first eyes on a Lariat and hybrid for me personally. Never have seen a truck out on the road. I have seen and touched an XL, XLT, AWD and now this white Lariat. Like I said 7 total in the mix.
I am a car/truck guy and can spot vehicles way off........ just not seeing many yet. I know they are being built and sold but it’s odd for me not to see someone out showing their new truck off
I feel deprived...., yet hopeful when deliveries ramp up.![]()
The fist one I saw was a first edition on a parking lot, I parked next to it with my Hot Pepper Red XLT 4K. I bet the guy was surprised to see one parked next to him when he returned from shopping. Alas, I should have taken a photo...Other than that, one drove in front of me, Iconic silver, nice color! The other two were a dark grey color. That's it, very few to be seen in the wild, altough the dealer where I bought mine had 3 of them with hefty prices....![]()

Florida, Texas, California, and Michigan are the leading states for Maverick sales—I guess it's where you live, I'm in Florida, Sarasota area, and there are lots of Mavericks around. I know from the forums that Florida is a hotspot for these trucks because they can pull a trailer with jet skis, small boats, small utility trailers etc, with a hybrid on mostly flat land. Great on the interstate highways, plus room for 5. It's a win win down here.
I see them in dealerships with markups but not on the road in ATL. The only time I saw one near here was on 75 towards DaltonI can't go to Home Depot or Lowe's without people asking me about the truck. That said, I haven't seen another around Atlanta.
I'm thinking with the announcement of the Maverick Tremor, you'll be seeing more order cancellations of 2022 Mavericks which means a better possibility of picking one up.6-hour road trip from Chicago to Cincinnati (12-hours round trip) last week, we agreed on a combined O/U for Mavericks spotted to be 6, which included dealer lots and car carriers.
The final number was 3, just 1 more than the 2 Rivian R1T’s spotted.
Fun diversionary activity, the offset rear license plate made the “is it or isn’t it?” question easy to answer.
Would have been much more fun if we were in a Maverick instead of the Escape! Someday…
Surprising. One would expect to see more on such an extended trip. Then there's the time we took a trip up to northern CA and had one merge onto the freeway directly behind us! You just never know.Drove from AZ to Portland OR and back earlier this month. We saw ONE Maverick! I was expecting to see 2-3 each day we were driving but nope. Did see one Rivian on the road too.
