I recently bought my Maverick Black 2025. Since the first week of owning it, I've been hearing a noise coming from the dashboard on the driver's side, similar to the video. I've seen some discussions about this noise but haven't found a solution. Can anyone help?

There is a TSB for dash noise — make sure you stay on top of the TSBs as they will fix them only when you're in warranty.

(My 22 just popped out of warranty and there are a few TSBs the dealership would not fix — the dash noise being one of them.)

Excellent ... then you're still under warranty. There are a BUNCH of Ford recalls and TSBs that have probably not been performed on your vehicle (especially the TSBs).

Make sure you stay on top of them as Ford will only alert you to the legally-required "recalls" and never for the TSBs... However, many of the TSBs are "recall-level" issues. Issuing a TSB is kind of a shifty way of issuing a recall without issuing a recall. :/

That said, you're in Brazil, so your local customs/laws may vary from what we have here in California.

I believe almost every Maverick has this same dash pop. It has something to do with contact between the upper dash and the defroster vent. The Ford TSB for dash rattle won't fix it. I had the TSB done and the dash still pops.

I have found photos from eBay listings of used dashboards to be the most helpful in trying to determine where it is coming from and a possible fix. Most likely just a block of firm plastic foam jammed in the right spot. You can reach almost everywhere by just removing the steering wheel shroud.

That being said I haven't found the sweet spot yet. Someday I will and that day will be a glorious day lol.

This is how I fix mine. I cut a piece of a paint stir about two and a half to 3 in long and stuck it between the dash and the left side defroster vent in the channel there. The paint stir needs to be long enough to touch the windshield. This will hold the wooden piece in place

and then I put a piece of foam between the windshield and the piece of wood to keep the wood from making noises against the windshield

That's the best fix I've been able to come up with you hardly notice the piece of wood after a while but you enjoy the quiet of the dash not making that sound

I'm not sure which would be worse, the squeak or seeing that stick

At first I had a matchbook there with a picture of a Holiday inn sign but after a while it wouldn't stand up too much pressure on it if it had been long enough to reach the windshield I would have used it
