Can i change anything after i have a vin and scheduled for production? Specifically the vehicle color? I am scheduled the week of 16 jan.
Yes! I changed the color of my truck after it was scheduled. No problem whatsoever. My truck is now built and en route to my dealer.

Just have your dealer change the color in the computer and submit. It will tell him "submitted pending plant approval" but a simple color change is almost always approved unless you are doing it less than a day or two before production.

Hi, I have an unscheduled order at a dealer in NM and tried to switch from FWD to AWD this week and was told that no changes can be made once my order has been "accepted".

Is it indeed possible to make this switch and what is the best way to articulate to my salesman that the change should be possible within the system?

Thanks for your help with all things, Tim
Yes, unless you are too close to build date.

I changed mine from Hybrid to AWD yesterday. Send the dealer the link to the thread that was made yesterday, they are probably not updated.

Don’t trust ford when they say “you will keep your place in line.”

Sorry for your frustration with an uninformed dealer. Maybe ask them to take a look at the memo that came out on 12/14 about being able to make changes to orders including the motor.

Unfortunately MANY people who work in car dealership front offices wouldn't know the difference between notebook, laptop, desktop, or main frame if you drew them very simple pictures of each item. WIndows, iOS and Chromebook are WAY above their pay grade.
The oil change kid in the shop knows more than the glad handers.
